Orville Ray GRIMES, 79, a retired employee of Mid States and Crawfordsville Community Schools, died early today in Carmen Nursing Home. His home was at 805 E. Jefferson Street. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Mr. Grimes was born in Montgomery County May 18, 1895, a son of James A and Clara Parish Grimes.  He was married to Ella C. Addler and Gladys Thompson. Both are deceased. Surviving are five sons: Charles; James; Ralph; Herman; and Donald; two daughters, Mrs. Troy (Elizabeth) Baker and Mrs. John (Mildred) Dale; two sisters, Mrs. Waneta Holt and Mrs. Mary Sims; 4 half brothers, Lawrence; Andrew; Lester and Joe; a half sister, Mrs. Julia Grider; 15 grandchildren and 3 greats. A son died in infancy. Services will be at 2 p.m Thursday in Powers Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Miller officiiating.  Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. A half brother of Andy Grimes, Orville Grimes, of 805 East Jefferson Street, Crawfordsville, age 79, died Monday, December 23, in the Carmen Nursing Home there. He was a retired employee of Mid-States Steel and Wire Co. in Crawfordsville. Mr. Grimes was born in Montgomery County, May 18, 1895, a son of James A. and Clara Parish Grimes. He was married to Ella Addler and to Gladys Thompson, both are deceased. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon in Powers Funeral Home with burial in Oak *Hill Cemetery near Crawfordsville.
